Ngāti Rakaipaaka is made up of a connected network of healthy strong and nurturing whānau.

Ngāti Rakaipaaka whānau are reo experts, living their tikanga and are serving their Marae to keep our identity strong.

Ngāti Rakaipaaka whānau are provided with opportunities to achieve whānau financial security and freedom that enables their well being.

Our taiao is thriving, we are practising our mātauranga Māori in our wai, on our whenua and as kaitiaki of our whenua. We are protecting and enhancing the mauri of our taiao.

Manaaki Whānau
The manaaki pou represents our social well-being and is led by our Trustee/Chairperson, Pauline Symes, with support from TeAo Rore, Graeme Symes & Shanan Symes. We have been continuously working on projects to help our whānau own their homes, increase their household incomes, help them to access better services & be healthy.
Ngāti Rakaipaakatanga
Our Ngāti Rakaipaakatanga represents our culture and is led by TeAo Rore with support from Graeme Symes & Shanan Symes. We are focusing on provided forums for whakapapa, tikanga, kawa and historical kōrero initiatives, and Marae whakairo restoration, kaitiakitanga, maintenance/restoration & business ventures.
Whai Rawa
Whai Rawa is our Economic pou and is led by Trustee, Shanan Symes and supported by Pauline Symes. We have been creating a business model, and business operations to create funds for use in other pou and/or distributions to whānau. We want to create opportunities for whānau to upskill themselves to enable them to create their own businesses.
Taiao
Taiao is our environment pou and is led by Trustee, Graeme Symes and supported by Shanan Symes. We are been successful in acquiring funds and resources to support Taiao initiatives. Our focus is pest management, riparian planting, fencing, cleaning up our awa and tributary waterways & monitoring just to name a few. Our goal is to establish a native plant nursery to provide planting & reintroduction of native plants in and around our village environments. This will help with creating employment, higher learning & qualifications.
Our Organisation
Our Organisation pou and is led by Trustee & Chairperson, Pauline Symes and supported by Shanan Symes. We are helping whānau to connect to services that meet their needs. We work tirelessly to secure Trustee, Governance models & staff, and operational models.

Our Organisation has the people, the capability and organisational structures to enable our whānau aspirations.
Activities
We are continually accessing expertise, relationships, resources and funding to ensure projects align to our Strategic Direction Activities.
Outcome
Capability and capacity to operate and manage our whānau aspirations provides security for the future lives of our whānau.

We will continue to assist our pou lead to implement our Operational pou on their direction.
Meet the Trustees
Collectively the Governance Board bring the following skills, expertise and qualifications to assist in the development of the iwi, and hapū aspirations;
Marae & community development, education, social, economic, iwi environmental management, spiritual, Justice of Peace and Marriage Celebrant, resource management, cultural, traditional expertise, policy and planning, rangatahi support, financial and commercial, government, māori and community sectors-strategic planning for māori, governance and management, negotiations and policy, undergraduate and post-graduate, historians, whakapapa experts, natural resource management, strategic and prudent governance and management of iwi assets.
