The Story of our logos

In 2020 we engaged the whānau, beneficiaries and registered members of Rakaipaaka who have artist skills and abilities to form a combined visual representation of the Rakaipaaka two entities, TIORI & TIORT.

We asked our artist to represent Te Iwi o Rakaipaaka, Nga Whare Rau o Te Tahinga and our seven Marae within the rohe kainga of Nuhaka. Also acknowledging our tipuna that fought the Crown under TIORI to get the iwi where it is today to the current entity TIORT / TIORI (The Group) and how the iwi will move into the future.

We were successful in being presented with two logos that the organisation was excited to adopt, one for each for our two kaupapa. We have Te Mauri o Rakaipaaka which represents our organisation as a whole and Te Kaitiaki o Te Taiao to represent our Taiao and Sites of Significance.
