Social Services
our values
Our values are the cornerstone of who we are and what’s important to us. Our values must guide our future development.
We believe our community will discover and rediscover its essential strength and dignity, whether culturally, socially, economically, environmentally or educationally.
Services we provide
Providing assistance to self-isolating whānau
We have the means and the capability to help whānau that have tested positive or that have been impacted by the effects of COVID by providing RATs test, clean care packages, kai parcels, well-being brochures & welfare checks. We also have staff available to pick up medication from Wairoa, collect & deliver educational packs to those in isolation as well as support for employed whānau in isolation.
Tamariki Services
We are currently providing holiday programs so that our tamariki are busy & learning during the holidays. We know how important it is to provide activities such as arts & crafts, baking & cooking, life skills, educational fun games, and marae-based learning around tikanga and kawa.
Kaumatua Services
Te Iwi o Rakaipaaka can provide travel assistance to our kaumatua that are affected by Health issues or that need help with accessing online services such as, banking, shopping, WINZ entitlements, social media, Zoom, live-streaming,and mobility parking applications.
We can provide Health & well-being checks and Meals-on-wheels to ensure our kaumatua are having a nutritious healthy kai.
There are also opportunities for penehana ra (outings for kaumatua).

Health
Having Health Services that our community can access easily is very important to us, so we are providing travel assistance for whānau to attend Health appointments in Wairoa. We can also help them connect to appropriate support services as well as providing pathways to well-being tikanga-based counselling to overcome life changes (Oranga Hinengaro).
We also provide;
